This license permitted Peter Lyons to practice law in the county or inferior courts in the colony of Virginia. It was signed on February 5, 1756 by Peyton Randolph, John Randolph, and Robert C. Nicholas. The docketing on the verso lists the counties in which Lyons qualified to practice and the dates he qualified.
